FotoVisura is an amazing online resource for contemporary photography – the first place I go to when doing a visual research and one of the very few digital platforms, for which I happily pay annual membership fee.
As FotoVisura announced the annual grant results earlier this week, I am very pleased that my work has been recognised with a Honorable Mention, for the second year in a row.
The diversity and quality of work awarded is truly outstanding, and I encourage everyone to go through the list of winners and finalists and explore project one by one. There are many project that have been talked about for a while and featured widely (including this blog). This applies to both winners: Andrea Gjestvang and Sara Naomi Lewkowicz, as well as photographers like Piter di Campo, Laura El-Tantawy, Michele Palazzi, Alessandro Penso, Bryan Schutmaat, Ilona Szwarc, Diana Markosian, Maxim Dondyuk, Giovanni Cocco, Laila Abril and many others.
However, there are some project that have not crossed my path either at all, or recently, so I will leave the stage for them instead:
Share you favorites, discoveries and disappointments in comments!
