FK yearbook 2013

For the third year running, Latvian photography magazine FK released its annual collection of creme de la creme of contemporary lens-based art from the country. This year’s edition is centred around the rhetorical question Who are We? and encompasses six personal documentary projects that explore artists’ relations with family and nature.

Presented in a form of an A4 magazine, the yearbook dedicates substantial space to each body of work, supported by short interviews with the each artist –  much welcomed alternative to the usual artistic statements. The bi-lingual publication is designed to serve to serve both the local and international markets (although I found a spelling mistake in the very first sentence I read, I definitely won’t be the one complaining).
