Everyday Eastern Europe

I was instantly inspired by Everyday Africa project that pushed the boundaries of mobile photography to draw a complex and unusually bright image of daily life in Africa. It was set up to challenge stereotypical representation of the continent in the traditional media – paradigm, prevailing for many corners of the world, not least the Eastern Europe.

The idea of setting up Everyday Eastern Europe came immediately, but it took more than a year to shape – just on time for our Asian and Middle Eastern sisters to join!

Please follow @EverydayAfrica @EverydayAsia @EverydayMiddleEast and, of course, @EverydayEasternEurope instagram accounts for regular updates.

There is a real visual feast to be enjoyed online, so I will only share few of my own images created for the project:

We are always looking for new contributors, so if you are a photographer based or traveling in the region – get in touch!
